We are looking for a motivated Mechanical Engineering Intern with an interest in HVAC and building systems. This internship will provide hands-on exposure to mechanical design, system analysis, and project coordination in real-world construction and building services projects. The role is ideal for engineering students or recent graduates who are eager to gain practical industry experience.

Reports to

The intern will report to the Senior Mechanical Engineer / Project Manager.

What will you do?

• Support the design, analysis, and documentation of HVAC and building systems.

• Assist in preparing drawings, technical specifications, and reports.

• Perform load calculations, airflow analysis, and equipment sizing under supervision.

• Conduct research on materials, standards, and energy-efficient solutions.

• Participate in site visits, inspections, and system commissioning activities.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects, electrical engineers, and contractors.

• Maintain project files, spreadsheets, and technical documentation.

What are we looking for?

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• Basic knowledge of HVAC systems, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.

• Familiarity with engineering software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar).

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

• Attention to detail and eagerness to learn.

What additional skills will help you stand out?

• Experience with HVAC load calculation tools (e.g., HAP, TRACE, Carrier E20).

• Exposure to BIM workflows and modeling.

• Knowledge of building codes and energy standards (ASHRAE, ISHRAE, LEED).

• Previous internship or project work related to HVAC or building systems.
