Job Summary
CareBridge Trust, a leading non-profit organization dedicated to community development and humanitarian initiatives, is seeking a passionate and organized Volunteer Coordinator to join our team. The Volunteer Coordinator will play a pivotal role in managing and engaging our network of volunteers, ensuring their contributions are meaningful and aligned with the organization’s mission. This position requires excellent interpersonal skills, strong organizational abilities, and a genuine commitment to social impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, onboard, and train volunteers for various programs and events.
- Develop and implement volunteer management strategies to increase engagement and retention.
- Maintain accurate volunteer records and track hours, activities, and accomplishments.
- Coordinate volunteer schedules to ensure programs and events run smoothly.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for volunteer inquiries and support.
- Organize volunteer appreciation and recognition initiatives.
- Collaborate with program managers to identify volunteer needs and opportunities.
- Prepare reports on volunteer contributions, challenges, and outcomes for senior management.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Non-Profit Management, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Proven experience in volunteer management, community outreach, or NGO program coordination.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and volunteer management software.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to handle challenges diplomatically.
Experience
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in volunteer coordination, community engagement, or NGO program management.
- Experience working with diverse communities and handling multiple stakeholders is highly desirable.
Working Hours
- Standard NGO working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM.
- Occasional weekends or evenings for special events and campaigns.
- Flexibility to adapt to fieldwork or program-specific schedules.

- Knowledge of volunteer management best practices and non-profit operations.
