Job Summary:
GoodCause International is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and skilled Remote Social Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide critical support and guidance to individuals and communities facing social, emotional, and economic challenges. You will work closely with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement intervention plans that improve quality of life and promote social well-being. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support, counseling, and advocacy to individuals and families in need.
- Assess client needs, develop care plans, and monitor progress.
- Connect clients to community resources, social services, and programs.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, case notes, and reports.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, NGOs, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Conduct virtual sessions, workshops, and support groups as required.
- Identify and address social, emotional, and financial challenges affecting clients.
- Promote social awareness, community engagement, and preventative interventions.
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and organizational initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work (BSW), Psychology, Sociology, or related field.
- Licensed or certified social worker (if required by region/country).
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Proficiency in digital communication platforms (Zoom, MS Teams, Google Meet).
- Empathy, cultural sensitivity, and commitment to social justice.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple cases remotely.
Experience:
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in social work, counseling, or case management preferred.
- Experience working with diverse populations, NGOs, or international organizations is an advantage.
- Prior remote work experience or telehealth/social service experience is desirable.
Working Hours:
- Flexible working hours with remote access.
- Some availability required for virtual client appointments and team meetings.
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be needed based on client needs.

- Deep understanding of social issues, community resources, and social support systems.
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and crisis management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
