Job Summary
SmileBridge Trust is seeking a passionate and dynamic Outreach and Awareness Officer to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing programs that raise awareness about our initiatives, engage communities, and promote our mission of social empowerment and support. This role requires creativity, excellent communication, and the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders, partners, and beneficiaries.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute outreach strategies to increase community engagement and awareness of SmileBridge Trust programs.
- Organize and coordinate events, workshops, campaigns, and community programs to promote the NGO’s initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local communities, partner organizations, media, and government bodies.
- Create informative and persuasive content for campaigns, social media, newsletters, and promotional materials.
- Monitor and evaluate outreach activities, preparing regular reports to assess effectiveness and suggest improvements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment of outreach strategies with organizational goals.
- Serve as a representative of SmileBridge Trust at community meetings, events, and conferences.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Proven experience in community outreach, awareness campaigns, or NGO program management is preferred.
- Proficiency in social media platforms and basic graphic design or content creation tools.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build lasting relationships with various stakeholders.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in community engagement, public awareness campaigns, or similar roles, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
- Experience in coordinating events, campaigns, and workshops is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with local community dynamics and understanding of social issues is a plus.
Working Hours
- Full-time position with standard office hours.
- Flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed for events or outreach activities.
- Some travel to local communities or partner organizations may be required.
