Job Summary:

RightStep Foundation is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Research and Documentation Assistant to support our initiatives in community development and social impact programs. This role involves gathering, analyzing, and documenting critical data, producing comprehensive reports, and supporting program teams in maintaining accurate records of ongoing projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in the NGO sector, excellent research skills, and the ability to convert complex information into clear, actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough research on social issues, policies, and community development programs relevant to the Foundation’s mission.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze data from multiple sources, including field reports, surveys, and secondary research.
  • Assist in preparing detailed reports, case studies, project briefs, and impact assessments.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all program activities, research findings, and internal processes.
  • Support the design and management of databases and filing systems to ensure smooth record-keeping.
  • Collaborate with program teams to translate research findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Assist in preparing presentations and materials for donor reports, stakeholder meetings, and advocacy efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with ethical standards and confidentiality protocols in data handling.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Policy, or a related field.
  • Strong research and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with data management tools.
  • Ability to organize and manage large volumes of information effectively.
  • Knowledge of NGO operations and social development projects is an advantage.

Experience:

  • 1–3 years of experience in research, documentation, or program support within NGOs, academic institutions, or social development organizations.
  • Experience in report writing, data collection, and database management is preferred.

Working Hours:

  • Standard working hours: [Insert Hours, e.g., 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday]
  • Flexibility for field visits or project-based tasks may be required.
