Job Summary
SkillBridge Foundation is a leading non-profit organization committed to empowering communities through skill development and capacity-building initiatives. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Training and Development Officer to design, implement, and oversee comprehensive training programs for our beneficiaries, staff, and partner organizations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education and skill-building, along with strong organizational and communication skills to ensure effective program delivery and measurable impact.
The Training and Development Officer will play a critical role in enhancing the capabilities of individuals and teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning, and supporting the Foundation’s mission to create sustainable social impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, plan, and implement training programs and workshops aligned with the Foundation’s objectives.
- Assess training needs for beneficiaries, staff, and volunteers through surveys, interviews, and performance data.
- Design engaging training materials, including presentations, manuals, and digital resources.
- Facilitate training sessions, both in-person and virtually, using innovative and interactive methods.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make data-driven improvements.
- Collaborate with program managers and project teams to integrate skill development initiatives across various projects.
- Maintain records of training activities, attendance, and outcomes for reporting and compliance purposes.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and innovative learning methodologies in the NGO and development sector.
- Mentor and coach staff to enhance their professional growth and capacity.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Social Work, Development Studies, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience in training and development, preferably within NGOs, social enterprises, or community development programs.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and competency-based training methods.
- Excellent facilitation, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, Google Workspace, and virtual training platforms (Zoom, MS Teams, etc.).
- Ability to assess training effectiveness and implement continuous improvements.
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in training, capacity-building, or human development roles.
- Experience in designing and delivering training programs for diverse groups, including marginalized communities, volunteers, and staff.
- Prior experience in an NGO or social development organization is highly desirable.
Working Hours
- Full-time role, Monday to Friday.
- Occasional weekend or evening sessions may be required for workshops, events, or training delivery.
- Flexibility for remote or field-based training programs.
