Job Summary

Blissful Families is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced Weekend Childcare Provider to support a busy family in caring for their children while assisting with light household tasks. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating a nurturing environment, engaging children in educational and recreational activities, and contributing to a well-organized home. The ideal candidate will be warm, patient, and proactive, ensuring children are safe, happy, and engaged throughout the weekend.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and care for children, ensuring their safety, health, and well-being at all times.

• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities, including playtime, arts and crafts, and outdoor activities.

• Assist with homework, reading, and other educational activities as needed.

• Prepare simple snacks and meals for children.

• Maintain a clean and organized environment, including tidying play areas, children's rooms, and assisting with light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, dishes, and general household upkeep.

• Communicate regularly with parents regarding children’s activities, milestones, and any concerns.

• Handle minor emergencies calmly and responsibly.

• Support children’s emotional and social development through positive reinforcement and guidance.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Previous childcare experience with toddlers, preschoolers, or school-aged children.

• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a dynamic home environment.

• Knowledge of basic child development principles and age-appropriate activities.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to perform light housekeeping duties efficiently.

• CPR/First Aid certification is highly preferred.

• Trustworthy, reliable, and able to maintain confidentiality.

Experience

• Minimum 1–2 years of professional childcare experience, preferably in a home or family setting.

• Experience in managing multiple children or household tasks is a plus.

Working Hours

• Weekends (Saturday and Sunday), [insert specific hours, e.g., 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM].

• Occasional flexibility may be required for special family events or needs.
