Job Summary
SecureMalls Inc. is seeking a vigilant and proactive Retail Loss Prevention Security Officer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for protecting our retail environments from theft, fraud, and safety hazards while ensuring a secure and welcoming shopping experience for customers and staff. This role requires a combination of observational skills, quick decision-making, and strong interpersonal abilities to prevent loss, mitigate risks, and respond effectively to incidents.
Key Responsibilities

Monitor and patrol retail premises to deter and detect theft, vandalism, and suspicious activity.

Conduct investigations into incidents of theft, fraud, or policy violations, documenting findings accurately.

Collaborate with store management and law enforcement authorities when necessary.

Implement and enforce company security policies and procedures.

Utilize surveillance systems, electronic article surveillance (EAS), and other security technologies effectively.

Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a visible security presence.

Prepare daily, weekly, and incident reports for management review.

Train and mentor junior security staff in loss prevention practices and safety protocols.
Required Skills and Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in security or loss prevention preferred.

Proven ability to observe, assess, and respond to potential security threats quickly.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Familiarity with security technologies, surveillance systems, and loss prevention tools.

Experience

Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in retail loss prevention, security, or a related field.

Experience working with law enforcement or conducting internal investigations is a plus.
Working Hours

Flexible shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as retail operations demand.
