Job Summary

SecureMalls Inc., a leader in comprehensive security solutions, is seeking a vigilant and proactive Construction Site Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of construction sites, personnel, equipment, and materials. The ideal candidate will possess strong observational skills, quick decision-making abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and secure environment. This role is pivotal in preventing theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access, while ensuring compliance with company and regulatory safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol construction sites to prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorized entry.

• Control access to the site, including verifying credentials and maintaining visitor logs.

• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies and coordinate with law enforcement if necessary.

• Conduct regular inspections of site perimeters, fences, gates, and construction equipment to identify security risks.

• Maintain detailed incident and daily activity reports for management review.

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security policies on site.

• Collaborate with site managers, supervisors, and other stakeholders to reinforce security measures.

• Provide guidance and training to temporary security staff, if required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; further training in security management is a plus.

• Proven experience in construction site security, industrial security, or similar roles.

• Knowledge of security systems, surveillance equipment, and emergency response protocols.

• Strong observational and analytical skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and make quick, effective decisions in high-pressure situations.

• Valid security license or certification as per local regulations.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction site security, industrial security, or a related field.

• Experience with CCTV monitoring, access control, and emergency response is preferred.

Working Hours

• Full-time position with rotational shifts including day, evening, and night as per site requirements.

• Availability to work on weekends or holidays, depending on site activity.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Deep understanding of construction site layouts, potential hazards, and safety procedures.

• Ability to identify and assess security threats proactively.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to stay calm under pressure.

• Competency in preparing clear and concise reports.

• Familiarity with first aid procedures and emergency response protocols.
