Job Summary:

Maritime Elite Hospitality is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our cruise operations team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene for both guest and staff laundry services onboard. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced maritime environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, sort, and manage all incoming laundry from guests and crew, ensuring proper categorization.

• Operate washing, drying, and ironing machines according to safety and operational protocols.

• Inspect laundry for stains, damage, or missing items, ensuring quality standards are met.

• Fold, press, and neatly package clean laundry for delivery to guests and staff.

• Maintain inventory of laundry supplies and report shortages or equipment malfunctions.

• Follow strict hygiene, safety, and environmental standards at all times.

• Collaborate with housekeeping and other departments to meet operational schedules.

• Record laundry activities, including special guest requests, lost and found items, and daily operational logs.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in hospitality or laundry operations is a plus.

• Basic knowledge of laundry equipment and cleaning chemicals.

• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.

• Physical stamina to handle lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

• Good communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment.

Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in laundry services, preferably in hotels, resorts, or cruise ships.

• Experience with industrial laundry machinery is highly desirable.

Working Hours:

• Full-time position with flexible shifts depending on cruise schedules.

• Ability to work during weekends, holidays, and extended hours as required by cruise operations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

• Knowledge of safety standards and chemical handling.

• Ability to respond calmly under pressure during peak laundry periods.
