Job Summary

Mediclinic is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Controller to manage medical billing and revenue-related financial activities. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate billing, timely revenue recognition, and compliance with healthcare financial regulations. This role is pivotal in maintaining the financial health of our medical facilities by overseeing accounts, reconciling revenue streams, and providing actionable insights to management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the end-to-end medical billing process, including patient invoicing, insurance claims, and adjustments.

  • Monitor accounts receivable and ensure timely collection of payments from patients and insurance providers.

  • Reconcile daily, weekly, and monthly revenue reports to ensure accuracy.

  • Prepare financial statements, revenue forecasts, and management reports for review.

  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to resolve billing discrepancies and patient queries.

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and healthcare regulations.

  • Implement process improvements to enhance billing efficiency and reduce errors.

  • Maintain proper documentation and records for audit purposes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Professional certification (CA, CPA, or equivalent) preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of medical billing systems, healthcare revenue cycles, and insurance processes.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Tally, QuickBooks) and MS Office, particularly Excel.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in accounts management, preferably within the healthcare or medical billing sector.

  • Proven experience in revenue reconciliation, billing, and financial reporting.

  • Prior exposure to hospital or clinic accounting operations is an advantage.

Working Hours

  • Full-time role, typically Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

  • Flexibility may be required during month-end or audit periods.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Deep understanding of medical billing codes, insurance processes, and healthcare finance regulations.

  • Ability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable insights.

  • Strong communication skills for interacting with internal teams, insurance companies, and patients.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • High ethical standards and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial and patient information.
