Job Summary:
Mediclinic is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Technical Clerk to join our Medical Records and Information Management team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate, up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations, and supporting healthcare professionals with efficient access to medical information. This role is critical to enhancing patient care, streamlining administrative processes, and upholding the integrity of our medical documentation system.
Key Responsibilities:

Maintain, update, and organize patient medical records with accuracy and confidentiality.

Retrieve and provide medical records to healthcare staff as required for patient care or administrative purposes.

Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and institutional standards for medical records management.

Assist in the digitization of medical records and transition from paper-based to electronic systems.

Coordinate with medical staff to verify, correct, and complete patient information.

Prepare reports, summaries, and statistics related to medical records as requested by management.

Respond to internal and external queries regarding patient records while ensuring confidentiality.

Support audits and inspections related to medical record-keeping and information management.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical records, health information management, or administration is preferred.

Strong knowledge of medical terminology, record-keeping procedures, and healthcare documentation standards.

Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with strong attention to detail.

Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard office software (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
Experience:

1–2 years of experience in medical records management, health information management, or administrative support in a healthcare environment.

Prior experience in a hospital, clinic, or medical office setting is highly advantageous.
Working Hours:

Full-time role, typically Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Occasional flexibility may be required depending on operational needs.
