Job Summary
Bechtel, a global leader in engineering, construction, and project management, is seeking a Construction Project Engineer (Site Manager) to join our onsite operations team. This position plays a critical role in overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of large-scale construction projects. The successful candidate will ensure that all work is performed in compliance with project specifications, safety standards, budget constraints, and timelines. This role demands strong leadership, technical expertise, and a hands-on approach to managing site activities and personnel.
Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate all onsite construction activities to ensure project objectives are achieved on time and within budget.

Lead and manage site engineers, subcontractors, and workers to maintain smooth workflow and productivity.

Review and interpret blueprints, engineering plans, and specifications to ensure compliance with design standards.

Monitor project progress and prepare detailed reports on status, costs, risks, and potential improvements.

Enforce Bechtel’s safety, health, and environmental standards to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.

Coordinate with project managers, architects, and clients to resolve technical issues and maintain project alignment.

Manage material procurement, inventory control, and subcontractor performance.

Conduct site inspections, quality checks, and ensure all work meets established quality assurance standards.

Oversee construction schedules and implement corrective actions to avoid delays.

Participate in project review meetings and contribute to continuous improvement processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

Proven experience in managing large construction or infrastructure projects.

In-depth understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and safety standards.

Strong leadership and decision-making abilities under pressure.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective coordination with diverse teams.

Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to interpret technical drawings and construction documents accurately.
Experience

Minimum of 7–10 years of relevant experience in construction project management, preferably within large-scale infrastructure or industrial projects.

Prior experience in a supervisory or site management role with exposure to EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) operations is highly desirable.
Working Hours

Full-time onsite position.

Standard work hours: Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with additional hours as required based on project schedules and deadlines.
