Job Summary

Microsoft is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Onsite Network Support Specialist to join our Corporate Campus IT Infrastructure team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless performance, reliability, and security of the campus network. You will manage network installations, monitor system performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and collaborate with global IT teams to maintain optimal operations. This is an on-site position requiring hands-on technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and a customer-centric approach to support Microsoft employees and enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.

  • Monitor network performance, bandwidth utilization, and connectivity across the corporate campus.

  • Diagnose and resolve network-related issues promptly to minimize downtime.

  • Support the setup and maintenance of LAN/WAN infrastructure and network security systems.

  • Implement network upgrades and ensure compliance with Microsoft’s IT security and governance standards.

  • Provide on-site technical assistance to internal teams, departments, and end-users.

  • Collaborate with global IT, cybersecurity, and systems teams to ensure network scalability and resilience.

  • Document configurations, changes, and network performance metrics for auditing and improvement.

  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and implementation.

  • Support corporate projects involving data centers, remote offices, and cloud connectivity.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP).

  • Proficiency in configuring and maintaining Cisco or Juniper networking equipment.

  • Experience with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Wireshark, or Nagios.

  • Solid understanding of network security practices, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.

  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.

  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate are preferred.

Experience

  • 3–6 years of professional experience in enterprise network administration or support.

  • Experience working in a large-scale corporate or campus network environment is highly desirable.

  • Prior experience with hybrid cloud and on-premises network environments will be an advantage.

Working Hours

  • Full-time, on-site position.

  • Standard business hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM.

  • Occasional evening or weekend work may be required for maintenance or critical incident resolution.

  • Strong understanding of Microsoft enterprise technologies and cloud networking principles.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation and reporting skills.

  • Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and processes.
