Job Summary
Khan Academy is seeking a passionate and experienced Remote Curriculum Developer – STEM Subjects to design, develop, and enhance high-quality educational content in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Key Responsibilities

Design and develop comprehensive STEM curricula for K–12 and higher education levels, focusing on clarity, engagement, and accessibility.

Collaborate with subject matter experts, teachers, and instructional designers to create interactive lessons, videos, practice problems, and assessments.

Align all materials with relevant academic standards (such as NGSS, Common Core, or local equivalents).

Use data-driven insights and learner feedback to continuously improve content effectiveness and learner outcomes.

Develop instructional materials that support differentiated learning and promote equity in education.

Ensure consistency in tone, format, and quality across all STEM course offerings.

Conduct peer reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain Khan Academy’s content excellence.

Stay current on emerging trends in STEM education, online learning technologies, and educational psychology.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a STEM-related field (Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Technology, or Education).

Proven experience in curriculum development, instructional design, or educational content creation.

Strong understanding of learning standards, assessment strategies, and curriculum alignment.

Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills with attention to detail.

Proficiency with digital learning platforms, online authoring tools, and collaborative software (e.g., Google Workspace, LMS systems).

Ability to simplify complex scientific or mathematical concepts for diverse learner audiences.

Experience

Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in STEM education, instructional design, or curriculum development.

Prior experience in online or blended learning environments is highly preferred.

Experience working with international curricula or open educational resources (OER) is an added advantage.
Working Hours
