Job Summary

Fresher Jobs Hub is seeking a Healthcare Claims Data Encoder to join our dynamic remote team. This role is ideal for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of medical billing, healthcare claims processing, and data entry procedures. As a Data Encoder, you will be responsible for reviewing, entering, and validating healthcare claim information with accuracy and efficiency. You will play a crucial part in ensuring that healthcare claims are processed correctly and on time, supporting both patients and healthcare providers in achieving seamless reimbursement and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter and update healthcare claims data into internal systems.

  • Review patient details, claim forms, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • Verify claim information against established guidelines and coding standards (ICD, CPT, HCPCS).

  • Identify and correct errors or discrepancies in claims before submission.

  • Work closely with the billing and claims departments to resolve data-related issues.

  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive patient and insurance information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

  • Generate daily and weekly productivity reports to track data entry performance.

  • Follow company policies and procedures to meet accuracy and turnaround time targets.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Medical Billing, Information Management, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).

  • Strong knowledge of medical terminologies, healthcare claims forms, and insurance processes.

  • Excellent data entry speed and accuracy.

  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, healthcare management software, and online claims systems.

  • Ability to interpret and apply healthcare coding standards (ICD-10, CPT, etc.).

  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a remote environment.

Experience

  • 0–2 years of experience in data entry, healthcare claims processing, or medical billing.

  • Freshers with relevant educational background or certification in medical coding are encouraged to apply.

Working Hours

  • Flexible work-from-home schedule.

  • Standard working hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Monday to Friday).

  • Occasional weekend or overtime work may be required during peak claim periods.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • High level of integrity and confidentiality when handling medical data.

  • Ability to meet deadlines under minimal supervision.

  • Strong understanding of healthcare documentation and insurance claims workflow.
