Job Summary

In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients seeking telehealth services, ensuring seamless scheduling, excellent customer support, and adherence to HIPAA guidelines. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage incoming calls and online requests for telehealth appointments, providing timely and professional responses.

  • Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments accurately using electronic scheduling systems.

  • Maintain detailed records of patient interactions and appointment histories in compliance with privacy regulations.

  • Provide patients with guidance on telehealth procedures, platform usage, and technical requirements.

  • Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, administrative staff, and patients to ensure smooth appointment flow.

  • Identify and escalate urgent or complex patient issues to appropriate healthcare personnel.

  • Collaborate with team members to optimize scheduling efficiency and improve patient experience.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with keen attention to detail.

  • Customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare or telehealth environment.

  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms, electronic medical records (EMR), and appointment scheduling software is highly desirable.

  • Ability to handle sensitive patient information with discretion and confidentiality.

  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Experience

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare, call center, or customer service role.

  • Previous experience with telehealth appointment scheduling is a plus.

Working Hours

  • Part-time, flexible schedule with some evening or weekend shifts as required.

  • Fully remote work; requires a reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient privacy practices.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer skills.

  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to telehealth software and internal processes.
