Job Summary
Pharmacy Technician is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Remote Pharmacy Technician – Data Entry / Order Processing to join our growing virtual healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately entering prescription data, processing medication orders, and supporting pharmacists to ensure patients receive timely and safe medication services. Key Responsibilities

Accurately enter prescription and patient information into the pharmacy management system.

Process and verify medication orders while ensuring compliance with all regulatory and company guidelines.

Communicate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients to clarify prescription details.

Review prescriptions for accuracy and completeness before submission for pharmacist verification.

Assist in managing electronic prescription queues and resolving rejected claims or order issues.

Ensure timely order fulfillment, including medication refills and reorders.

Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of all patient data in compliance with HIPAA standards.

Collaborate with remote pharmacy teams to ensure high-quality and efficient order processing.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Active Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) or equivalent, depending on state regulations.

Proven experience in pharmacy data entry or order processing (retail, mail-order, or specialty pharmacy preferred).

Excellent typing speed and accuracy with strong attention to detail.

Proficiency in pharmacy management software and general computer applications (MS Office, email, etc.).

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision.

Knowledge of medical terminology, drug names, and prescription processing procedures.
Experience

Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician, preferably in a mail-order or remote pharmacy setting.

Experience with third-party billing systems and insurance claim resolution is an advantage.
