Job Summary
Pharmacy Technician is seeking a Virtual Pharmacy Technician - Order Verification and Triage professional to join our growing remote pharmacy operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing, verifying, and triaging prescription orders to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely processing. You will collaborate closely with pharmacists, healthcare providers, and patients to ensure efficient workflow and exceptional service quality. Key Responsibilities

Review and verify prescription orders for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with state and federal regulations.

Triage incoming prescription requests and prioritize workflow for timely processing.

Communicate with prescribers and healthcare professionals to clarify or resolve order discrepancies.

Enter and update patient and prescription data into pharmacy systems accurately.

Ensure proper labeling, dosage, and documentation for all verified orders.

Coordinate with virtual pharmacists and support staff to optimize workflow and prevent delays.

Identify and report potential drug interactions, allergies, or contraindications to the pharmacist.

Handle patient inquiries professionally through chat, email, or phone as needed.

Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance remote pharmacy operations.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification from PTCB or equivalent.

Strong understanding of prescription terminology, medication names, and pharmacy laws.

Proficiency in using pharmacy software systems (such as PioneerRx, QS/1, or similar).

Excellent communication and multitasking skills in a remote work setting.

High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.

Ability to work independently and maintain professionalism under minimal supervision.

Reliable internet connection and familiarity with virtual communication tools.
Experience

Minimum 1–3 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail, mail-order, or specialty pharmacy environment.

Prior experience in order verification or prescription triage is highly preferred.

Remote or telepharmacy experience will be an added advantage.
Working Hours
