Job Summary

InfoTech Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Remote Help Desk Technician to join our dynamic IT support team. In this role, you will provide top-tier technical assistance to our clients and internal teams, resolving hardware, software, and network issues efficiently. The ideal candidate thrives in a remote environment, demonstrates excellent problem-solving skills, and communicates technical solutions clearly to non-technical users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to incoming technical support requests via phone, email, or chat in a timely and professional manner.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues across Windows, macOS, and mobile platforms.

  • Document and maintain detailed records of issues, resolutions, and technical procedures.

  • Collaborate with senior IT staff to escalate complex issues and implement long-term solutions.

  • Assist with onboarding new employees by setting up devices, software, and access credentials.

  • Monitor system performance and provide proactive recommendations to prevent technical issues.

  • Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance technical expertise.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of computer systems, networks, and software applications.

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows, macOS, and mobile operating systems.

  • Knowledge of remote desktop tools, ticketing systems, and IT support software.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear technical guidance.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a remote work environment.

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Experience

  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience in a help desk or technical support role.

  • Experience providing remote technical support to clients or internal teams is highly preferred.

  • Familiarity with cloud-based platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace) is an advantage.

Working Hours

  • Full-time, Monday to Friday.

  • Flexibility to cover different time zones and occasional after-hours support as required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, networking basics, and cybersecurity principles.

  • Ability to diagnose technical problems efficiently and implement practical solutions.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to provide excellent customer service.
