Job Summary
TTechScript America is seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Technical Writer to join our team on a remote contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, refining, and maintaining clear, concise, and user-friendly technical documentation tailored for diverse audiences, including internal teams, clients, and end users. You will collaborate with engineers, product managers, developers, and subject-matter experts to translate complex technical information into accessible content. Key Responsibilities

Develop high-quality technical documentation, including user manuals, product guides, API documentation, FAQs, training materials, and process documents.

Gather information from subject-matter experts and technical teams to ensure accurate and complete content.

Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and easy-to-understand language for various audience levels.

Edit, proofread, and update existing documentation to maintain accuracy and consistency.

Ensure all documentation follows established style guidelines, formatting standards, and brand voice.

Create visuals such as diagrams, flowcharts, screenshots, and tutorials to support written content.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product updates, timelines, and release cycles.

Organize and maintain documentation repositories and versioning systems.

Review and incorporate feedback from technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Support continuous improvement by identifying documentation gaps and recommending improvements.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Communications, English, Computer Science, or a related field.

Proven experience as a Technical Writer in a technology, IT, or software-driven environment.

Strong command of written English and excellent editing/proofreading skills.

Ability to understand and translate technical concepts accurately and clearly.

Experience using documentation tools such as Confluence, Notion, MadCap Flare, GitHub, or similar platforms.

Familiarity with software development processes, APIs, cloud technologies, or IT infrastructure.

Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Experience

Minimum 2–5 years of experience in technical writing or related roles.

Experience working with engineering teams or in technical environments preferred.

Prior remote or contract-based work experience is an advantage.
Working Hours

Fully remote, contract-based position.

Flexible working hours with an expectation of 20–30 hours per week, depending on project workload and deadlines.

Must be available for occasional virtual meetings with US-based teams.
