Job Summary

SoundText America is seeking a detail-oriented and highly reliable Audio Transcription Operator to join our growing remote team. In this role, you will listen to a variety of audio recordings and accurately convert them into well-formatted written documents. This position requires exceptional listening skills, strong command of English grammar, and the ability to meet deadlines while maintaining high accuracy. You will play a vital part in ensuring that clients receive precise, clear, and professionally structured transcripts across multiple industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Transcribe audio recordings into written documents with high accuracy and consistency.

• Review, edit, and proofread transcripts for grammar, clarity, and formatting.

• Follow client-specific templates, style guidelines, and formatting requirements.

• Handle confidential and sensitive information with strict professionalism and discretion.

• Manage time effectively to complete assigned tasks within designated deadlines.

• Communicate promptly with team leads regarding project updates, challenges, or clarifications.

• Ensure high-quality output while maintaining productivity standards.

• Perform quality checks on transcripts to ensure completeness and correctness.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Excellent English listening, comprehension, and writing skills.

• Strong command of grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure.

• Ability to accurately transcribe various accents, speech speeds, and audio qualities.

• Fast and accurate typing skills (recommended: 60+ WPM).

• Familiarity with transcription software, foot pedals, and text editors (preferred but not mandatory).

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot errors and inconsistencies.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.

• Reliable computer, stable internet connection, and a quiet workspace.

Experience

• Prior experience as a transcriptionist, editor, or similar role is preferred but not required.

• Freshers with strong language skills and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

• Experience in medical, legal, or general transcription is considered an advantage.

Working Hours
