Job Summary

MediTranscribe LLC is seeking a detail-oriented, highly accurate Remote Medical Dictation Typist to support our growing medical documentation operations. In this role, you will transcribe physician dictations, clinical notes, and medical reports with precision while ensuring full compliance with healthcare documentation standards. This position is ideal for individuals who excel in focused, deadline-driven environments and possess strong knowledge of medical terminology and transcription best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately transcribe audio dictations from physicians, clinicians, and healthcare providers into well-formatted medical records.

• Edit, proofread, and verify transcribed documents for accuracy, completeness, and clarity.

• Maintain consistency with industry standards, HIPAA regulations, and MediTranscribe LLC documentation guidelines.

• Ensure timely delivery of completed transcripts within assigned deadlines.

• Correct grammar, punctuation, and format inconsistencies while maintaining the speaker’s intended meaning.

• Handle confidential patient information with discretion and professionalism.

• Communicate with supervisors or quality analysts regarding unclear dictations or missing information.

• Update or revise documents as requested by medical staff.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proficiency in medical transcription, medical typing, or healthcare documentation.

• Strong command of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.

• In-depth understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, diagnoses, and treatment procedures.

• Excellent listening skills with the ability to interpret various accents and speech patterns.

• Fast and accurate typing speed (minimum 60–70 WPM preferred).

• Familiarity with transcription software, foot pedals, speech-to-text tools, and EMR/EHR systems.

• High level of confidentiality and knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Experience

• Minimum 1–2 years of medical transcription or medical dictation experience required.

• Experience in hospital, clinic, or medical office documentation is a strong advantage.

• Fresh candidates with certification in medical transcription may also be considered.

Working Hours

• Flexible remote schedule with the ability to meet daily or weekly turnaround times.

• Full-time and part-time opportunities available based on workload.

• Occasional weekend or evening work may be required during peak periods.
