Job Summary

OneTech Associates is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Architect with deep expertise in AWS and GCP platforms and a strong focus on cloud security protocols. This remote role is ideal for a visionary professional who can design, implement, and manage secure, scalable, and highly available cloud architectures for our clients and internal operations. The Cloud Architect will be responsible for ensuring our cloud environments meet the highest standards of security, compliance, and efficiency while providing strategic guidance on cloud adoption and optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure, scalable, and resilient cloud architectures on AWS and GCP.
• Develop and enforce cloud security protocols, policies, and compliance standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and identify vulnerabilities in cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with DevOps, IT, and security teams to ensure seamless cloud deployment.
• Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and recommend best-fit solutions for business needs.
• Provide guidance on cost optimization, resource management, and system performance.
• Automate cloud provisioning, monitoring, and security using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts for cloud-related incidents and performance issues.
• Maintain documentation of cloud architecture, configurations, and security procedures.
• Mentor junior cloud engineers and conduct knowledge-sharing sessions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven expertise in AWS (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, Lambda) and GCP (Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, IAM, Cloud Functions).
• Strong knowledge of cloud security frameworks (CIS, NIST, ISO 27001).
• Hands-on experience with network security, encryption, identity management, and firewall policies.
• Proficiency with Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation for infrastructure automation.
• Understanding of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless architectures.
• Solid experience with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, Stackdriver, Prometheus).
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Experience

• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in cloud architecture or cloud security roles.
• Hands-on experience designing multi-cloud environments with a focus on security, scalability, and high availability.
• Previous experience in a remote or distributed team environment is highly preferred.

Working Hours

• Flexible remote working hours with occasional coordination across time zones.
• Availability for critical incident response or high-priority cloud updates may be required.
