Job Summary
TranscribePro USA is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Legal Counsel specializing in Corporate Compliance to join our remote team. The ideal candidate will provide strategic legal guidance, ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, and support the company’s governance framework. This role is pivotal in maintaining our corporate integrity, mitigating legal risks, and fostering a culture of compliance across all operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise leadership on corporate compliance matters, including regulatory obligations, risk management, and internal policies.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents to protect the company’s interests.
- Monitor changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards impacting corporate operations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance programs, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct internal audits, compliance training, and risk assessments to ensure adherence to legal requirements.
- Serve as a point of contact for legal inquiries and manage relationships with external counsel.
- Provide guidance on corporate governance, ethical practices, and employee compliance issues.
- Support business initiatives with legally sound recommendations to facilitate growth while mitigating risk.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active bar membership in any U.S. jurisdiction.
- Strong knowledge of corporate law, compliance regulations, and corporate governance best practices.
- Exceptional analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
- High attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate legal counsel, compliance, or a related role.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing corporate compliance programs.
- Experience working in a remote or virtual legal team environment is highly desirable.
- Prior experience with contract negotiation, risk management, and regulatory audits is a plus.
Working Hours
- Full-time, remote position.
- Standard business hours, with flexibility to attend meetings across U.S. time zones.
- Occasional availability may be required for urgent legal matters or deadlines.

- In-depth knowledge of corporate compliance, U.S. federal and state regulations, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Strong legal research and analytical abilities.
- Proficiency in legal and compliance software tools is advantageous.
