Job Summary

InnovateTech is seeking a highly detail-oriented Manual QA Engineer to join our dynamic software development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our digital products through comprehensive manual testing processes. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify defects, document test results, and support continuous improvement across all software releases.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive manual test cases, test plans, and test scenarios.

• Conduct functional, regression, smoke, exploratory, UI/UX, and integration testing.

• Identify, analyze, document, and track software defects using approved bug-tracking tools.

• Collaborate closely with development and product teams to understand requirements and ensure high-quality deliverables.

• Validate defect fixes and perform re-testing of resolved issues.

• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and QA review sessions within an Agile environment.

• Ensure adherence to QA standards, best practices, and testing processes.

• Assist in improving QA documentation, checklists, and procedures.

• Provide clear and structured feedback to enhance product quality and user experience.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.

• Hands-on experience with manual testing techniques for web and mobile applications.

• Familiarity with bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla, Trello, or similar).

• Ability to create detailed test documentation including test cases, test plans, and defect reports.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• High attention to detail and the ability to identify patterns or inconsistencies.

Experience

• 1–4 years of professional experience in Manual QA or Software Testing.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments is preferred.

• Exposure to basic automation concepts is an added advantage but not required.

Working Hours

• Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 8–9 hours per day.

• Flexibility required during major product releases or sprint deadlines.

• Hybrid or remote working options may be available depending on project needs.

• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, test design techniques, and QA best practices.

• Ability to quickly understand functional and technical requirements.

• Proficient in cross-browser and cross-platform testing.
