Job Summary

CodeCrafters is seeking a highly skilled Laravel/PHP Backend Developer to join our dynamic and innovation-driven engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building scalable backend systems, optimizing application performance, developing secure APIs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver world-class software solutions. This role requires deep expertise in Laravel, PHP, and modern backend architecture, with a passion for writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize backend modules using Laravel and core PHP.

• Design and implement RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services.

• Build scalable, high-performance backend architecture ensuring reliability and security.

• Collaborate with front-end developers, UX/UI designers, and project managers to deliver seamless user experiences.

• Perform code reviews, troubleshoot bugs, and ensure best coding practices are followed.

• Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for backend processes.

• Optimize database structures and queries for maximum performance.

• Implement testing frameworks and automation to enhance code quality.

• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and Laravel ecosystem advancements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Laravel Framework and Core PHP.

• Hands-on experience with MySQL, query optimization, and database design.

• Deep understanding of MVC architecture, OOP principles, and REST API development.

• Experience working with version control systems (Git).

• Knowledge of queue systems, caching mechanisms, and scheduler tasks in Laravel.

• Familiarity with Linux/Ubuntu environments and server-side deployment.

• Understanding of secure coding practices, data protection, and API authentication methods.

• Ability to write clean, well-structured, and testable code.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Experience

• 2–5 years of hands-on experience in Laravel and PHP backend development.

• Prior experience in building production-grade web applications is highly preferred.

• Experience working in Agile or Scrum-based project environments is a plus.

Working Hours

• Full-time position.

• Standard working hours: 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday.

• Flexibility may be required depending on project timelines and team collaboration.
