Job Summary

AppCheck Quality is seeking a detail-oriented Mobile App Tester (Manual QA) to ensure the reliability, functionality, and overall quality of mobile applications before release. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying bugs, documenting issues clearly, and ensuring a seamless user experience across multiple mobile platforms. This role requires strong analytical skills, a passion for problem-solving, and a deep understanding of mobile usability standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough manual testing of mobile applications on both Android and iOS devices.

• Create, update, and execute detailed test cases, test scenarios, and test plans.

• Identify, document, and track bugs using standardized reporting tools and processes.

• Collaborate closely with developers, UI/UX designers, and product teams to ensure timely issue resolution.

• Perform regression testing after bug fixes and new feature updates.

• Validate app performance, usability, functionality, and compatibility across various devices.

• Participate in requirement reviews and provide feedback on potential quality issues.

• Ensure adherence to testing timelines and release schedules.

• Maintain organized testing documentation and contribute to QA process improvements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).

• Strong knowledge of mobile app testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.

• Familiarity with Android and iOS ecosystems, architectures, and app lifecycle.

• Experience working with issue-tracking tools such as Jira, Trello, or Bugzilla.

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies and defects.

• Strong communication and documentation skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.

Experience

• 1–3 years of experience in manual QA testing, specifically in mobile app testing.

• Experience testing across multiple devices, OS versions, and screen resolutions is a plus.

• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies is preferred.

Working Hours

• Full-time position.

• Standard working hours: 8 hours per day / 5 days a week.

• Flexibility may be required depending on project deadlines or release cycles.

• Remote working options can be considered based on company policy.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.

• Understanding of UI/UX principles and mobile usability guidelines.

• Basic knowledge of API testing and mobile backend communication is a plus.
