Job Summary

Axis Bank is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Junior Risk & Compliance Data Analyst (GIG-A) to join our dynamic Risk Management team. This role is ideal for candidates passionate about leveraging data to strengthen compliance frameworks, identify operational risks, and support regulatory reporting. The Junior Analyst will play a crucial part in analyzing risk data, preparing insights, and assisting in the development of compliance strategies to ensure the bank adheres to industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, validate, and analyze risk and compliance data across various business lines.
• Assist in the preparation of regulatory reports and internal risk dashboards.
• Monitor operational, credit, market, and compliance risks using structured data analysis.
• Identify trends, anomalies, and potential risks, providing actionable insights to senior management.
• Support internal audits, regulatory inspections, and compliance reviews with accurate data reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance risk data quality and reporting efficiency.
• Ensure timely documentation and maintenance of compliance-related records and reports.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or related field.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Knowledge of risk management principles and compliance regulations in the banking sector.
• Familiarity with database querying (SQL) and statistical analysis is an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills to present data findings clearly to stakeholders.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Experience

• 0–2 years of experience in risk management, compliance, data analysis, or a related field is preferred.
• Internship or project experience in financial data analysis or regulatory reporting is advantageous.

Working Hours

• Full-time role, standard banking hours (Monday–Friday, 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM).
• Flexibility may be required during peak reporting or audit periods.

• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable recommendations.
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as RBI guidelines, Basel norms, and KYC/AML standards.
