Job Summary
Indian Bank, a leading public sector bank committed to excellence in banking services across India, is seeking a qualified and dynamic Assistant Manager (Civil/Technical Officer) JMGS-I. The selected candidate will oversee civil and technical operations within the bank, ensuring that all infrastructural and maintenance activities adhere to safety standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational guidelines. This role combines technical expertise with project management skills to support the bank’s expansion and operational efficiency initiatives.
Key Responsibilities

Supervise, plan, and execute civil engineering projects, including construction, renovation, and maintenance of bank branches, offices, ATMs, and other facilities.

Conduct site inspections, evaluate structural conditions, and recommend necessary improvements or preventive measures.

Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely and quality completion of projects.

Prepare technical specifications, estimates, project reports, and feasibility studies for various civil and infrastructure projects.

Ensure compliance with government regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.

Monitor budgets, timelines, and resource allocation for ongoing projects.

Assist in procurement of civil materials and technical services in alignment with the bank’s policies.

Maintain records of all civil works, ongoing projects, and technical audits for reporting to senior management.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related technical field from a recognized university.

Knowledge of construction management, structural engineering, and project management principles.

Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and government compliance requirements.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with vendors, contractors, and internal teams.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, or other engineering and project management software is an advantage.
Experience

Minimum of 2–5 years of relevant experience in civil engineering, infrastructure management, or construction project supervision.

Experience in a banking or corporate environment handling branch infrastructure projects is preferred but not mandatory.
Working Hours

Standard banking hours with flexibility based on project demands.

Occasional travel to project sites across various locations may be required.
