Job Summary

WSP India is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Structural Engineer to join our growing Buildings and Infrastructure team. This role is ideal for early-career engineers who are passionate about structural design, analysis, and engineering excellence. The selected candidate will work closely with senior engineers on national and international projects, contributing to safe, sustainable, and innovative structural solutions using industry-standard tools such as STAAD.Pro and ETABS.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the structural analysis and design of buildings and infrastructure projects using STAAD.Pro, ETABS, and related software

• Prepare structural calculations, design reports, and technical documentation in line with applicable codes and standards

• Develop and review structural drawings in coordination with drafting and BIM teams

• Support senior engineers in concept development, detailed design, and design optimization

• Perform load calculations, seismic and wind analysis, and basic foundation design

• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, MEP engineers, and project managers

• Ensure compliance with Indian and international design codes, safety regulations, and quality standards

• Participate in design reviews, technical discussions, and project meetings

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering from a recognized institution

• Strong fundamentals in structural engineering principles (RCC and basic steel design)

• Hands-on knowledge of STAAD.Pro and ETABS

• Familiarity with IS codes (IS 456, IS 800, IS 1893, IS 875) and exposure to international codes is an advantage

• Basic understanding of AutoCAD and/or BIM tools (Revit Structure preferred)

• Good analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills

• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English

Experience

• 0–2 years of relevant experience in structural design or consultancy

• Fresh graduates with strong academic backgrounds and practical software exposure are encouraged to apply

• Internship or training experience in a structural design firm will be an added advantage

Working Hours

• Full-time position

• Standard working hours: Monday to Friday

• Flexibility may be required to support project deadlines or coordinate with global teams
