Job Summary

JMC Projects (India) Limited is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented QA/QC Civil Trainee to support the Quality Assurance and Quality Control functions across construction projects. This role is ideal for fresh civil engineering graduates who aspire to build a strong foundation in construction quality systems, site inspections, testing procedures, and compliance with industry standards. The trainee will work closely with senior QA/QC engineers to ensure that construction activities meet prescribed quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and maintaining Quality Assurance and Quality Control systems at project sites.

• Support inspections of civil works including concreting, formwork, reinforcement, masonry, and finishing works.

• Help ensure compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, IS codes, and project quality plans.

• Participate in material inspections, sampling, and coordination of laboratory testing.

• Assist in preparation and maintenance of QA/QC documentation such as checklists, inspection reports, test reports, and NCRs.

• Monitor workmanship quality and report deviations to senior QA/QC personnel.

• Support audits, quality reviews, and corrective/preventive action processes.

• Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, and vendors to resolve quality-related issues.

• Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards on site.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.

• Basic understanding of construction materials, methods, and quality control practices.

• Familiarity with IS codes, QA/QC procedures, and testing standards (desirable).

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.

• Willingness to work at project sites and adapt to site-based working conditions.

• Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, and reporting tools).

Experience

• Fresh graduates or candidates with 0–1 year of experience in QA/QC or site engineering roles are encouraged to apply.

• Internship or site exposure in construction quality control will be an added advantage.

Working Hours

• Full-time position.

• May require extended hours depending on project schedules and site activities.
