Job Summary

DMRC (Delhi Metro Rail Corporation) / BMRCL (Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited) is seeking motivated and technically sound Junior Engineers (Civil) to support the planning, execution, and supervision of metro rail infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for young civil engineering professionals who are passionate about large-scale urban infrastructure and eager to contribute to safe, sustainable, and world-class metro systems. The Junior Engineer will work closely with senior engineers, contractors, and consultants to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the execution and supervision of civil works related to metro rail projects, including stations, depots, viaducts, tunnels, and allied structures.

• Monitor day-to-day construction activities to ensure adherence to approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

• Support site engineers in quantity measurements, bill verification, and preparation of progress reports.

• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal departments for smooth project execution.

• Ensure compliance with safety norms, statutory regulations, and environmental guidelines at project sites.

• Participate in inspections, quality checks, and testing of materials and workmanship.

• Maintain accurate site records, drawings, and documentation.

• Assist in resolving site-related technical issues and implementing corrective actions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.

• Strong understanding of civil engineering fundamentals, especially related to infrastructure and transportation projects.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and BOQs.

• Proficiency in basic computer applications such as MS Office; knowledge of AutoCAD is an added advantage.

• Good communication and coordination skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

• Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.

Experience

• Fresher to 2 years of relevant experience in civil construction, infrastructure, metro rail, railway, highway, or large public works projects.

• Fresh graduates with strong academic backgrounds and relevant internships/training are encouraged to apply.

Working Hours

• Full-time position, typically 8–9 hours per day, six days a week.

• May require shift-based work, night shifts, or extended hours depending on project requirements and site conditions.
