Job Summary

Google India is seeking a passionate and highly motivated Junior Software Engineer – AI & Machine Learning Startups to join our growing engineering ecosystem. This role is designed for early-career professionals who are eager to build scalable, intelligent software solutions that empower AI and Machine Learning–driven startups. You will work closely with experienced engineers, researchers, and product teams to develop innovative technologies that solve real-world problems and accelerate startup success.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, development, testing, and deployment of software solutions focused on AI and Machine Learning applications.

• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following Google’s engineering best practices.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, product managers, and UX designers.

• Support the integration of machine learning models into production-ready applications.

• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization.

• Contribute to documentation, technical specifications, and knowledge sharing within the team.

• Stay up to date with emerging technologies, frameworks, and industry trends in AI/ML.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field.

• Strong foundation in programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, or Go.

• Basic understanding of Machine Learning concepts, algorithms, and data structures.

• Familiarity with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.

• Knowledge of software development fundamentals including OOP, version control (Git), and APIs.

• Good problem-solving skills and a logical, analytical mindset.

• Effective communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.

Experience

• 0–2 years of experience in software development, AI, or Machine Learning projects.

• Internship experience, academic projects, open-source contributions, or startup exposure in AI/ML will be an added advantage.
