Job Summary:

Larsen & Toubro, a global leader in engineering, construction, and technology solutions, is seeking highly motivated Graduate Trainees for its Smart Manufacturing & Industry 4.0 division. This role is designed for ambitious graduates who are passionate about leveraging cutting-edge digital technologies, automation, and data-driven solutions to revolutionize industrial processes. As a trainee, you will gain hands-on experience in implementing Industry 4.0 concepts such as IoT, robotics, AI, digital twins, and smart manufacturing solutions within L&T’s advanced manufacturing facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design, implementation, and optimization of smart manufacturing systems and processes.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on Industry 4.0 projects, including IoT deployment, predictive maintenance, robotics integration, and automation solutions.

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret manufacturing data to identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency, and cost reduction.

  • Support the deployment of digital twin models and virtual simulations to enhance production planning and operational decision-making.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute innovative ideas to enhance manufacturing performance.

  • Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate findings and project outcomes to stakeholders.

  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, best practices, and trends in Industry 4.0 and smart manufacturing.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Automation, Industrial Engineering, or related disciplines.

  • Strong understanding of Industry 4.0 concepts, including IoT, robotics, AI/ML, cloud computing, and smart manufacturing systems.

  • Proficiency in data analysis, process modeling, and digital tools such as MATLAB, Python, CAD, or PLC programming.

  • Good knowledge of manufacturing processes, automation systems, and lean principles.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.

Experience:

  • Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 1 year of relevant internship or project experience in smart manufacturing, automation, or industrial technology are encouraged to apply.

Working Hours:

  • Standard working hours: 40–45 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

  • Occasional project-based flexibility may be required to meet deadlines or support plant operations.
