Job Summary

As a Backend Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust server-side applications, APIs, and microservices. You will collaborate closely with frontend developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to ensure performance, security, and reliability across our platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python and Django.
• Build and manage RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
• Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Perform debugging, testing, and troubleshooting of applications.
• Participate in code reviews and follow best software engineering practices.
• Work with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and ensure data integrity.
• Support deployment and CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with DevOps teams.
• Continuously research and adopt new technologies and tools.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Python programming.
• Hands-on experience with Django or Django REST Framework.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Good understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and ORM concepts.
• Familiarity with Git version control systems.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus).
• Knowledge of Docker and containerization is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English.

Experience

• Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a Backend Developer or Software Engineer.
• Proven experience in developing production-level applications using Python/Django.
• Experience working in remote or distributed teams is highly preferred.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
