Job Summary

InfoTech Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Analyst to join our dynamic team supporting federal contracts remotely. The ideal candidate will be responsible for protecting sensitive government data, ensuring compliance with federal cybersecurity standards, and proactively identifying and mitigating potential security threats. This role demands a detail-oriented, analytical thinker with strong technical expertise and a commitment to safeguarding critical information systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity incidents in real-time, ensuring minimal impact to operations.

  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, risk analyses, and security audits to identify potential weaknesses.

  • Implement, maintain, and improve cybersecurity policies, protocols, and procedures in compliance with federal regulations such as FISMA, NIST, and CMMC.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support secure IT infrastructure and application deployment.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging threats, cybersecurity trends, and best practices.

  • Prepare detailed incident reports, security metrics, and documentation for federal reporting requirements.

  • Provide cybersecurity guidance and training to internal staff and stakeholders as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

  • Strong understanding of federal cybersecurity frameworks and compliance requirements (NIST, FISMA, CMMC, RMF).

  • Proficiency with security tools such as SIEM systems, intrusion detection/prevention, vulnerability scanners, and endpoint security solutions.

  • Experience in network security, threat hunting, and incident response.

  • Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or other government cloud platforms) is highly desirable.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, preferably within federal or government contract environments.

  • Hands-on experience with security operations centers (SOC), threat detection, and incident response.

  • Experience working remotely in a collaborative environment is a plus.

Working Hours

  • Full-time, remote position.

  • Standard federal contract support hours with flexibility for urgent security incidents.

  • Occasional availability for off-hours monitoring or emergency response may be required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA)

  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, network architectures, and system vulnerabilities.

  • Ability to assess and prioritize risks in a fast-paced federal contract environment.

  • Skilled in using cybersecurity monitoring and reporting tools.

  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks.

  • Capability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
