Job Summary

InfoTech Solutions is seeking an experienced and highly motivated QA Automation Lead to drive quality engineering practices across our digital products and platforms. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for defining the test automation strategy, building scalable automation frameworks, and mentoring a team of QA engineers to ensure the highest standards of software quality.

As a QA Automation Lead, you will work closely with product managers, developers, DevOps teams, and business stakeholders to embed quality into every stage of the software development lifecycle. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who is passionate about automation, modern testing tools, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of robust test automation frameworks using Selenium and Playwright.

• Define and implement end-to-end automation strategies for web and API testing.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

• Review test cases, automation scripts, and test coverage to ensure best practices.

• Mentor and guide QA engineers, providing technical leadership and code reviews.

• Drive quality metrics, test reporting, and defect analysis across projects.

• Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release readiness activities.

• Identify testing risks early and propose mitigation strategies.

• Continuously evaluate and introduce new tools, technologies, and testing approaches.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Selenium and/or Playwright for automation testing.

• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or C#.

• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.

• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, RestAssured, or similar.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.

• Knowledge of test management and defect tracking tools (JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr, etc.).

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Experience

• 6+ years of overall experience in software quality assurance and testing.

• At least 3 years of experience in test automation.

• Prior experience in a QA Lead or Senior Automation Engineer role is highly preferred.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.

Working Hours

• Full-time, remote role based in India.

• Standard working hours aligned with IST, with flexibility for collaboration with global teams.

• Occasional overlap with international time zones may be required.

• Ability to design scalable, maintainable automation frameworks from scratch.
