Job Summary

InfoTech Solutions is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Staff Software Engineer (Golang) to join our Remote Platform Team. In this senior technical role, you will act as a key engineering leader responsible for designing, building, and scaling distributed systems that power our core digital platforms. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex technical challenges, mentor engineers, and drive best practices in software architecture and cloud-native development.

As a Staff Engineer, you will have significant influence over technical direction, system reliability, and long-term platform strategy, while remaining hands-on with coding and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of high-performance, scalable backend services using Golang.

• Architect and maintain cloud-native, microservices-based systems.

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to senior and mid-level engineers.

• Drive system design discussions and influence long-term technical roadmaps.

• Ensure high availability, reliability, security, and performance of platform services.

• Collaborate closely with Product, DevOps, Security, and Data teams.

• Conduct code reviews and enforce engineering best practices.

• Optimize system performance, observability, and fault tolerance.

• Participate in incident response and root cause analysis for critical production issues.

• Evaluate and introduce new technologies and tools where appropriate.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Golang with deep understanding of concurrency and performance.

• Expertise in distributed systems and microservices architecture.

• Solid experience with RESTful APIs, gRPC, and message queues.

• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

• Strong understanding of system design, scalability, and fault tolerance.

• Experience with databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, NoSQL systems).

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Experience

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.

• 3+ years working in a senior or staff-level engineering role.

• Proven experience leading complex backend or platform systems.

• Experience working in remote or globally distributed teams is highly desirable.

• Background in SaaS, FinTech, E-commerce, or Cloud Platforms is a plus.

Working Hours

• Full-time, remote role.
