Job Summary

InfoTech Solutions is seeking an experienced and visionary Cloud Solutions Architect (Azure) to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of secure, scalable, and resilient cloud architectures for public sector clients. This role is fully remote and focuses on delivering enterprise-grade Microsoft Azure solutions that meet strict compliance, governance, and security requirements typical of government and public institutions.

As a key technical leader, you will collaborate with stakeholders, project managers, security teams, and developers to translate complex business and regulatory needs into robust cloud-based solutions. You will play a strategic role in modernizing legacy systems, enabling digital transformation, and ensuring cloud adoption aligns with best practices and public sector standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end cloud architectures on Microsoft Azure for public sector projects.

• Lead cloud migration strategies, including assessment, planning, and execution.

• Define cloud governance models, including identity, access management, security, and compliance frameworks.

• Architect high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.

• Work closely with engineering teams to ensure architecture is implemented effectively.

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to cloud engineers and developers.

• Evaluate and recommend Azure services and tools to optimize performance and cost.

• Ensure solutions align with public sector compliance standards (e.g., data sovereignty, security policies).

• Participate in client workshops and technical presentations.

• Continuously improve cloud architecture standards, templates, and best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure cloud services and architecture.

• In-depth knowledge of Azure networking, compute, storage, security, and identity services.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (ARM, Bicep, Terraform).

• Solid understanding of cloud security principles and zero-trust architecture.

• Proficiency in designing hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Preferred Certifications (Highly Desirable):

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer

• TOGAF or similar enterprise architecture certification

Experience

• 7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure or cloud engineering.

• 4+ years of hands-on experience architecting Azure solutions.

• Proven experience working with public sector, government, or regulated industries.

• Demonstrated experience leading large-scale cloud transformation initiatives.
