Job Summary

InfoTech Solutions is seeking a highly responsible and detail-oriented Content Moderator – Remote Social Media Safety to join our growing digital operations team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of maintaining safe, respectful, and compliant online communities across major social media platforms. You will review, monitor, and evaluate user-generated content to ensure it adheres to community guidelines, legal standards, and ethical practices.

This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about digital safety, online integrity, and creating positive user experiences. As a remote team member, you will collaborate with global stakeholders while working in a flexible and supportive virtual environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review, monitor, and moderate user-generated content (text, images, videos, and comments) across social media platforms.

  • Identify and remove content that violates platform policies, including hate speech, harassment, misinformation, graphic material, and harmful behavior.

  • Apply content guidelines consistently and make sound decisions in ambiguous situations.

  • Escalate complex or sensitive cases to senior moderation or policy teams.

  • Maintain accurate records and reports of moderation actions.

  • Provide feedback to improve moderation workflows and content policies.

  • Stay updated on platform rules, digital safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

  • Support initiatives aimed at improving user safety and trust online.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to make objective decisions.

  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.

  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Basic computer literacy and familiarity with social media platforms.

  • Emotional resilience and ability to handle sensitive or disturbing content.

Experience

  • Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in content moderation, customer support, trust & safety, or a related role (preferred).

  • Fresh graduates with strong communication skills and digital awareness may also be considered.

  • Prior experience working in a remote or virtual team is an advantage.

Working Hours

  • Flexible working hours depending on operational requirements.

  • Rotational shifts may apply, including weekends or night shifts.

  • Full-time role with consistent workload and performance-based scheduling.
