Job Summary
InfoTech Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Remote Grant Researcher to support a leading climate action non-profit organization. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about environmental sustainability and social impact, with a strong interest in funding research and donor engagement. As a Grant Researcher, you will play a critical role in identifying, analyzing, and tracking funding opportunities from foundations, corporations, government bodies, and international agencies that align with climate action initiatives.
You will work remotely as part of a collaborative, mission-driven team, contributing directly to the organization’s ability to secure funding for projects focused on climate mitigation, renewable energy, conservation, climate justice, and community resilience.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify relevant grant opportunities from local, national, and international funding sources.
- Monitor grant databases, donor websites, and funding portals for new opportunities.
- Evaluate funding criteria and eligibility requirements for climate-focused grants.
- Prepare detailed grant prospect reports and funding pipelines.
- Maintain an organized database of prospects, deadlines, and submission requirements.
- Support grant writers by providing background research and donor profiles.
- Track trends in climate funding and philanthropic priorities.
- Assist in reporting and compliance by gathering required documentation and data.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align funding opportunities with organizational goals.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies, Public Policy, International Development, Social Sciences, Communications, or related field.
- Strong research and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to interpret funding guidelines and donor requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
- Familiarity with grant databases such as Foundation Directory, GrantStation, or similar tools is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in grant research, fundraising, nonprofit development, or related roles.
- Prior experience working with environmental, climate, or sustainability-focused organizations is highly desirable.
- Experience supporting grant proposals or funding applications is an advantage.
Working Hours
- Fully remote position.
- Flexible working hours with a preference for availability during standard business hours (Monday to Friday).
- Part-time or full-time options may be available depending on project needs.
