Job Summary
OneTech Associates is seeking a highly detail-oriented and reliable Remote Transcriptionist with a strong focus on legal and medical documentation. This role is ideal for professionals who possess exceptional listening skills, fast and accurate typing abilities, and a solid understanding of industry-specific terminology. As a Remote Transcriptionist, you will be responsible for converting audio recordings from legal and medical professionals into precise, well-formatted written reports while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe audio files from legal proceedings, medical consultations, interviews, and dictations into written documents.
- Ensure all transcriptions are grammatically correct, properly formatted, and adhere to company style guidelines.
- Review and edit transcriptions for clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive legal and medical information.
- Meet deadlines and productivity targets while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Utilize transcription software, foot pedals, and word processing tools efficiently.
- Identify and research unclear or inaudible content to ensure accurate transcription.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to resolve feedback and improve performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Excellent command of the English language (written and spoken).
- Strong typing skills (minimum 60+ words per minute with high accuracy).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and other document processing tools.
- Familiarity with transcription software and audio playback tools.
- Ability to understand diverse accents and speech patterns.
- High level of attention to detail and proofreading skills.
- Strong time management and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Experience
- Minimum of 1–2 years of professional transcription experience, preferably in legal or medical fields.
- Prior experience working in a remote or virtual environment is an advantage.
- Experience with legal documents (court hearings, depositions, affidavits) and medical records (clinical notes, reports, discharge summaries) is highly desirable.
- Freshers with relevant certification in transcription and strong practical skills may also be considered.
