Job Summary

IT Sight Technologies is seeking a highly experienced and visionary Senior Software Architect – Microservices & Serverless to lead the design and evolution of modern, cloud-native enterprise systems. This role is ideal for a hands-on technical leader who is passionate about building scalable, resilient, and high-performance distributed architectures using microservices and serverless technologies.

As a Senior Software Architect, you will play a strategic role in defining technical roadmaps, setting architectural standards, and mentoring engineering teams. You will collaborate closely with product managers, DevOps, security, and business stakeholders to deliver robust digital platforms that support business growth and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and own end-to-end architecture for microservices and serverless-based platforms.
• Define architectural principles, patterns, and best practices for cloud-native development.
• Lead technical decision-making on system design, scalability, security, and performance.
• Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and cloud services.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Ensure system reliability, high availability, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Guide teams on API design, service orchestration, event-driven architecture, and messaging systems.
• Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical audits.
• Mentor senior and mid-level engineers and promote engineering excellence.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and propose innovation initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong expertise in microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Deep understanding of serverless platforms such as AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, or Google Cloud Functions.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Solid experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong knowledge of API design (REST, GraphQL), messaging (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and event-driven systems.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Excellent understanding of security, authentication, and authorization in cloud systems.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Experience

• 8+ years of overall software development experience.
• 4+ years in a senior or lead architecture role.
• Proven experience designing and implementing large-scale, cloud-native systems.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams in enterprise environments.

Working Hours

• Full-time position (40 hours per week).
