Job Summary

IT Sight Technologies is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Renewable Energy Data Analyst to join our growing remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets related to solar and wind energy systems to support strategic decision-making, performance optimization, and sustainability initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analytics, a passion for renewable energy, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for technical and non-technical stakeholders. Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, and analyze operational data from solar and wind energy projects.

  • Monitor performance metrics such as energy output, capacity factors, efficiency, and system availability.

  • Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to present insights to management and project teams.

  • Identify trends, anomalies, and optimization opportunities in renewable energy systems.

  • Support forecasting models for energy production and resource utilization.

  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and sustainability teams to improve system performance.

  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with internal standards.

  • Provide analytical support for feasibility studies, investment decisions, and regulatory reporting.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, Environmental Science, Renewable Energy, or a related field.

  • Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, R, or similar.

  • Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or equivalent).

  • Solid understanding of statistical analysis and data modeling techniques.

  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple priorities.

Experience

  • 2–5 years of experience in data analysis or business intelligence roles.

  • Prior experience in renewable energy, utilities, energy consulting, or sustainability projects is highly preferred.

  • Experience working with time-series data and large datasets is an advantage.

  • Familiarity with solar PV and wind energy performance metrics is a strong plus.

Working Hours

  • Full-time, remote position.

  • Flexible working hours with overlap required for global team collaboration.

  • Standard schedule of 40 hours per week.

  • In-depth knowledge of data analytics methodologies and best practices.

  • Understanding of renewable energy systems, especially solar and wind technologies.
