Job Summary

OneTech Associates is seeking an experienced and strategic Fractional Operations Lead – Remote SME Consultant to support growing small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in optimizing their operations, scaling processes, and improving overall business performance. As a Fractional Operations Lead, you will act as a trusted advisor to clients, embedding yourself within their leadership teams on a part-time or project basis. You will assess operational maturity, design scalable frameworks, and implement best-in-class operational practices to drive efficiency, profitability, and sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with SME founders and leadership teams to diagnose operational challenges and growth bottlenecks.

• Design and implement operational strategies aligned with business goals.

• Lead process improvement initiatives across functions such as operations, customer success, finance, and supply chain.

• Develop KPIs, dashboards, and reporting frameworks to monitor performance.

• Establish scalable systems, workflows, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

• Manage cross-functional projects including digital transformation and automation.

• Provide change management and stakeholder alignment support.

• Coach internal teams on operational best practices and continuous improvement.

• Support strategic planning, capacity planning, and resource optimization.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong background in business operations, management consulting, or transformation roles.

• Proven ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.

Experience

• 8+ years of experience in operations leadership, consulting, or business transformation.

• Prior experience working with SMEs, startups, or high-growth organizations.

• Experience in multiple industries is highly desirable (e.g., tech, e-commerce, professional services, manufacturing).

• Demonstrated success in scaling operations and driving measurable business outcomes.

Working Hours

• Fully remote role with flexible working hours.

• Engagements are typically fractional (10–25 hours per week) depending on client needs.

• Availability to align with client time zones when required.
