Job Summary

IT Sight Technologies is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Remote Legal Counsel – Intellectual Property & Technology to join our global legal team. This role is critical in safeguarding the company’s intellectual property assets, supporting technology-driven initiatives, and providing strategic legal guidance across digital, software, and innovation-focused projects. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in IP law, technology contracts, and regulatory compliance, combined with a proactive, business-oriented mindset.

As a remote legal counsel, you will partner closely with product, engineering, R&D, and commercial teams to ensure that IT Sight Technologies operates within legal frameworks while driving innovation and growth in competitive global markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on intellectual property matters, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, and licensing.

• Draft, review, and negotiate technology-related agreements such as SaaS contracts, software licenses, NDAs, data processing agreements, and vendor contracts.

• Develop and implement IP protection strategies aligned with business objectives.

• Support product development teams with legal assessments on new technologies, digital platforms, and innovations.

• Manage IP portfolios and coordinate with external counsel on filings, registrations, and disputes.

• Ensure compliance with data protection, cybersecurity, and technology regulations (e.g., GDPR, privacy laws, IT compliance).

• Conduct legal risk assessments and provide mitigation strategies.

• Support mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships from an IP and technology law perspective.

• Monitor changes in technology and IP regulations and advise stakeholders accordingly.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Law degree (LLB, JD, or equivalent) from an accredited institution.

• Professional legal qualification and license to practice law in at least one jurisdiction.

• Strong knowledge of intellectual property and technology law.

• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills for commercial and technology contracts.

• Ability to translate complex legal concepts into practical business advice.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk assessment skills.

• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professional ethics.

• Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).

Experience

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in intellectual property and technology law.

• Prior experience in a technology company, SaaS environment, or multinational organization is highly preferred.

• Experience handling IP portfolios, licensing, and technology agreements.

• Exposure to international legal environments and cross-border transactions is an advantage.
