Job Summary

IT Sight Technologies is seeking a highly skilled and visionary Cloud Solutions Architect (GCP) to join our remote enterprise technology team. In this strategic role, you will be responsible for designing, architecting, and implementing scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to support complex business needs across global clients.

You will act as a trusted technical advisor, working closely with stakeholders, engineering teams, and business leaders to modernize legacy systems, drive cloud adoption, and ensure best-in-class cloud architecture aligned with business objectives. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong communication skills, and a passion for building enterprise-grade cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect end-to-end cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform for enterprise applications.

• Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives from on-premise or multi-cloud environments to GCP.

• Develop reference architectures, technical blueprints, and cloud governance frameworks.

• Collaborate with DevOps, security, and application teams to ensure reliable and scalable deployments.

• Implement best practices for cloud security, compliance, performance, and cost optimization.

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.

• Conduct architectural reviews and recommend improvements to existing systems.

• Engage with business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

• Support pre-sales and client engagements by providing technical expertise and solution proposals.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services including Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Cloud Functions, and VPC.

• Proficiency in cloud architecture patterns, microservices, and container-based systems.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Deployment Manager.

• Solid understanding of networking, security, identity management, and cloud governance.

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Stackdriver (Cloud Operations).

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• GCP Professional Cloud Architect certification is highly desirable.

Experience

• 6+ years of experience in cloud computing and enterprise IT architecture.

• At least 3+ years of hands-on experience designing solutions on Google Cloud Platform.

• Proven track record in leading large-scale cloud transformation projects.

• Experience working in distributed, remote, or global teams.

• Exposure to multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments is a plus.
