Job Summary

HR Talent Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Virtual Construction Estimator – US Blueprints to join our growing remote team. This role is ideal for a construction professional with strong expertise in reading and interpreting US construction drawings and preparing accurate cost estimates across residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

As a Virtual Construction Estimator, you will play a critical role in supporting contractors, developers, and project managers by delivering precise quantity takeoffs, cost breakdowns, and bid proposals. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure project feasibility, cost efficiency, and timely delivery, all in a fully remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret US construction blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs for materials, labor, and equipment.
• Develop accurate cost estimates for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
• Create bid proposals, budgets, and cost reports for clients and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and procurement teams.
• Review subcontractor quotes and supplier pricing for cost optimization.
• Maintain cost databases and historical pricing records.
• Identify potential risks, cost variances, and value engineering opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with US construction standards, codes, and best practices.
• Support pre-construction planning and feasibility studies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of US construction practices and standards.
• Excellent ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
• Proficiency in construction estimating software and tools (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam, RSMeans, Excel).
• Advanced analytical and mathematical skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.

Experience

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in construction estimating or quantity surveying.
• Proven experience working with US-based construction projects.
• Experience in residential, commercial, or industrial construction is highly preferred.
• Prior experience working remotely with international clients is an advantage.

• Full-time or part-time (depending on project needs).
