Job Summary

IT sight Technologies is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Remote Systems Administrator to support and maintain our managed IT services environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of client infrastructure while delivering exceptional technical support. This role requires strong troubleshooting abilities, a customer-first mindset, and experience managing diverse IT environments in a fast-paced remote setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor, maintain, and optimize client servers, networks, and cloud environments.

  • Provide Level 2/Level 3 technical support for infrastructure and system-related issues.

  • Perform routine system updates, patch management, and security hardening.

  • Administer Windows and/or Linux servers, Active Directory, and virtualization platforms.

  • Manage backup solutions and disaster recovery procedures.

  • Respond to incidents, outages, and service requests within defined SLAs.

  • Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.

  • Collaborate with cybersecurity, network, and help desk teams to resolve complex issues.

  • Assist with infrastructure projects, migrations, and system upgrades.

  • Ensure compliance with security policies and industry best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server administration and/or Linux systems.

  • Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.

  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, or similar).

  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.

  • Solid networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, routing).

  • Proficiency with remote monitoring and management (RMM) tools.

  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 3–5+ years of experience in systems administration or managed IT services.

  • Experience supporting multiple clients or multi-tenant environments preferred.

  • Relevant certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA, VMware, AWS, or similar) are a plus.

Working Hours

  • Full-time remote position.

  • Availability to work in rotational shifts or provide on-call support as required.

  • Flexibility to support global clients across different time zones.
